Jonathan C. Kuni

Attorney at Law

Jonathan C. Kuni joined Laura L. Donaldson to form Kuni Donaldson, LLP in 2008. Prior to their partnership, Mr. Kuni was an Associate with Snyder and Associates PC, where he guided individuals and small businesses through bankruptcy.  As a partner at Kuni Donaldson, LLP, he continues to limit his practice exclusively to bankruptcy law. This specialized approach enables him to develop a comprehensive knowledge of the bankruptcy process and rules which results in top quality assistance and advice for his clients.  Mr. Kuni's focused and dignified approach allows his clients to emerge from financial turmoil with a fresh start.

In 2000, Mr. Kuni graduated with high honors from the University of Montana with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology. In 2003, he received a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. Through studies in Louisiana and France, he developed a comprehensive knowledge of codal based legal systems.  As the bankruptcy laws are a codal based system, Mr. Kuni's educational background provides valuable insight for interpretation of the sometimes complicated and confusing provisions of the Bankruptcy Code.

Mr. Kuni is an active member of the Oregon Bar and is admitted to the Oregon Federal District Courts. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the Multnomah Bar Association.

Prior to limiting his practice to bankruptcy in 2003, Mr. Kuni developed skills in several other legal fields including debtor's rights, personal injury, discrimination, toxic exposure, and family law. His non-legal experience is derived from owning and operating a commercial and residential painting business in Missoula, Montana where he was born and raised.
